A Saturday surprise!

The gang sure got one (or two)!

This is Louise:

and this is Thelma!

Betty is NOT happy:

The are both soooo cute!

You can tell they are young by how yellow their legs are:

Louise laid an egg Sunday morning (it was tiny)- Maybe Thelma will today,

It's always a problem introducing new hens to the flock, Not too many feathers were lost, though. It went better than I thought it would.

This is probably the last I'll ever buy. My 'get up and go' has certainly 'got up and went'!
But I do enjoy them so much!

As soon as they settle down, they will be able to join the rest of the gang in the yard.

This is the racket made when they were locked in Saturday night:

That's Charlie and Betty squawking - they carried on like that for almost ten minutes!

:o)

  1. Congratulations! They are lovely. I hope they settle in without too many ruffled feathers. The yard is looking a treat.

  2. They are gorgeous. I suppose Charlie was miffed because he couldn't hustle the new girls right into his poopie bin love shack. :)

  6. That sounded like an epic domestic dispute in the vid. :) I shouldn't but I'm still chuckling about it. I know humans that sound like that when they squabble amongst themselves, HAR HAR HAR!

    1. Each one sounds different, Jenn. Just like people - Charlie is the loudest and makes more noise that all the others combined! :o)
