All quiet....

                                                      .... in Coopville.

Still cannot get my camera pics to the blog but at least they downloaded to the program that came with the camera. Maybe by the end of the week......

Finally figured out how to stop that touch pad thingy from messing up the sizes of pages.

That gang is fine. Betty has pulled a whopping amount of feathers from Charlie's neck. His neck is not bleeding, so I don't think minds. Yet, he will bite her when I hand out the raisin treats. He doesn't want her to have any.

Maude laid a humongous egg - it was so large it wouldn't even fit in an old 'jumbo' egg carton. Will post the pic of it when ...

Wilma got caught in the deer netting that is covering the run. She tried to fly over it but missed. Two hawks have been hanging around - they even fly over the pen and perch in the nearby trees. If she had flown out, she would have been a goner. Just a typical day around here!

'Hope everyone had a wonderful New Year!

:o)

  1. Never a dull moment around your place. Blow out the humongous egg and save it for Easter decorating.

    1. That's a good idea, Granny! The egg is so darn big it will take me until Easter to get it ready! LOL!

  2. Walked out the front door in Philly and saw a hawk sitting on the power pole across the street. Choices were either a poor cell phone photo, or get the good camera and have a great photo of a pole with no hawk.
Yep, went for the cell phone photo.
A hawk in Philly, way cool.

    1. It's amazing how many of them live in a city. Lots of places to nest and finding food is not a problem. I love to watch them hunt (but not for MY chickens!)

  3. One of the ranches we lived on, (owned by a french family) who hunted ducks with falcons. Very exciting to watch those amazing birds.
