Mostly about my backyard chickens. (Boring, I know), but there are a lot of us out here. Mine are only kept as pampered pets. I could eat a neighbor's chicken, but not MINE. There may be a comment on current events only if I get riled up enough. And there will always be a cartoon or a joke to cheer us. I promise to try my very best to respond to comments. Now I have to figure out how this blogger thingy works....

Today's funny :o)
Chris Christie gets a trusted position in the new administration
I just read this morning that not only was Gov. Christie dismissed from the transition team, but all the staff appointments he made have been reversed, and those people let go.
I am Canadian and only saw him once. Think he was on 60 Minutes and the teacher's union was beating him up for wage and perks and benny concessions. He basically to told them to go to hell, the budget had to balance and there simply wasn't any more room for the handouts. He made sense and didn't back down from them one iota... and I respected him for that.
(We have 'public educators' in my family and suffice it to say, they are not my favourite people...
He just talks tough when the camera is on - cannot manage anything. He even ran his presidential campaign the red. He can't manage NJ - companies are leaving. Our real estate taxes are the highest in the USA and his added 23 cent a gallon gas tax hike doesn't help. If he really wanted to, he could have cut the massive bloat in Trenton. But he didn't. And won't.
I am thinking back to news reports showing Christie following Trump around like a trained puppy dog. Guess that didn't work out too well. :)
ReplyDeleteHis actions were disgusting during the Hurricane Sandy kerfuffle. Thankfully we only have to put up with him for another year.

ReplyDeleteHis ego is as big as his belly. Can't wait until he's gone.

DeleteI've never trusted the guy, even though I know he's done a lot of good.
ReplyDeleteAll of his friends think he's great, Gorges. The tax payers don't! Will just have to see who we can replace him with next year.
