Mostly about my backyard chickens. (Boring, I know), but there are a lot of us out here. Mine are only kept as pampered pets. I could eat a neighbor's chicken, but not MINE. There may be a comment on current events only if I get riled up enough. And there will always be a cartoon or a joke to cheer us. I promise to try my very best to respond to comments. Now I have to figure out how this blogger thingy works....

At the Hop!
Let's dance the night away!
And don't forget to turn back your clocks and watches
tonight! (and change the batteries in your smoke detectors)!
Before my time but even I got a little kick out of - the vid skipped and repeated with a warble like my old record player did. It did 33's, 45's and 78's. I never saw a 78 - did you run across them at all CM?😆😆 😆 45's were always the little ones right?
78's were all we had until the 45's came out. They were kept in large albums where each record was stored in a brown paper sleeve. There was a hole in the paper so you could see the label. Just search Bing for an image of one. Those albums were kept in a wooden cabinet underneath the Victrola. In the late 40's my Dad built a small TV from a kit, but mostly we listened to the radio and played the records. There were also records just for us kids made out of cardboard with a plastic coating on them. Might even have some in the old treasured toy box stored in the attic.
That was my favorite song way back when.
ReplyDeleteAnd LOL. He should have just changed the smoke in his battery detector.
Always a favorite one! And LOL on the LOL! :o)

DeleteOh my! Just watching them dance wore me out. I wonder if I'm getting old.
