Mostly about my backyard chickens. (Boring, I know), but there are a lot of us out here. Mine are only kept as pampered pets. I could eat a neighbor's chicken, but not MINE. There may be a comment on current events only if I get riled up enough. And there will always be a cartoon or a joke to cheer us. I promise to try my very best to respond to comments. Now I have to figure out how this blogger thingy works....

The sound and sights of Autumn
The geese are starting to head South now. Turn up the volume and listen!
I haven't heard the geese here yet. We have so many little lakes and ponds around here that are nesting areas for them. Sometimes I can hear them off and on all day long when they all decide to fly south at one time. And yep - it is getting purdy. :)
My wife is still asleep in the next room (it's 4;30 AM here) so I couldn't listen to the geese, but I enjoyed the photos!
ReplyDeleteWill try to get to the back roads soon - the color is wonderful! (and you are very considerate, Gorges!) :o)

ReplyDeleteSometime they flying so high they just look like dots in the sky. But all the honking comes in loud and clear!
DeleteGuess it's that pretty picture time of the year.
ReplyDeleteThere's something haunting about the call of the wild geese. Makes me want to travel. However, I think I'd better avoid FL right now.
When they leave, I know that Fall is really, really here and Winter is close behind!
