Sometimes, it's little things....

.... like the temperature when I let the gang out yesterday:

Frost on the grass and leaves:

The sun on the mountain top:

 Hubby on his mower:

 A crimson maple leaf:

 A pebble path:

A leaf from the tulip tree:

 Maude and Charlie:

 The whole gang:

A multi-colored tree:

 Hubby still having fun:

 Berries on a bush:

Have no idea what this is - it was just pretty!

Just some of the sights around Coopville that make up my day. I am one very lucky ol' lady!

:o)

    1. Your welcome, Vicki! The older I get, the more time I appreciate the little things in life. Just too darn busy when we are younger!

  4. I had a dream about you using the used Chookie hay for winter blankets around your plants. The gang has settled down. Pecking order came from barnyard and Chook run behavior.
Getting hotter here and my main A/C is cactus. a new one has been ordered. Here in OZ that can mean a wait of several months. The joke here is that the order goes to west-bum-fuckistan to be hand made out of parts best not known about.
The bedroom one can hold for now, but in a couple of weeks it will be an uphill
battle. Humidity is the killer. You have to heat, I have to cool.

  5. Heat and the darn humidity is the worst! I hate it - would rather have the cold and snow, Granny.
The perfect temp is just cool enough to wear a sweatshirt outside. 'Hope you can get your A/C soon!

  6. Hope your day is bright and the snow holds off for a while longer... As I said, I miss the East Coast, but I wonder if the 25 years I've lived in Texas has erased all the not so great memories and left the bright, crisp, beautiful days that I do remember so well. I know, slush, mush, mud season, slippy tires on ice and all the rest, but still and all, it is so beautiful. Perhaps my next land phase will be in a colder climate.

I doubt we can go back to New England (and we certainly want nothing to do with their repressive politics. Even New Hampshire is getting to be a horror show of 'gimme stuff' types that have moved in from the lower 48. Ah well, perhaps we will just stay at sea. As I've said, the election may tell us what will happen. Seems that everything these days draws us back to politics. Don't know if it is age or the possibility of the country being irredeemably lost that does it. Maybe some of both, eh?

Well, enough of that, and I hope you have a really lovely day - looked at the weather up there and it appears the snow may miss you for the time being!

    1. I enjoy ChickenMom's scenic pictures too. I'm in North Central WA State, so our scenery is very different, and very different from the "Evergreen" West side of the state as well. Politically - it's a solid blue state, so the circus gets curiouser and curiouser. Neighbors moved to Texas last month...

    2. Started out as snow flurries - now it is just sleet - should warm up tomorrow! There are going to be big problems in this country no matter who wins the election. Just be aware and be prepared. Not much the average person can do about it either way.

    3. Barbar Cat - sheesh. We are in the land of the Free (The Great Republic) but with the influx over the boarder, encouraged by the bum in the WH and all 'his' minions, AND the influx from the West Coast, the State is becoming more and more blue. I hate that everyone in rural areas are virtual slaves to cities. Most of us here hate kalifornians and don't think too highly of washingtonians from the West either. We all know there are good folks from both places, but so few of them come here, we tend to get the high-tech guys who think the aristocracy cares about them. Oh, how wrong they are - they, too, will be slaves in the coming oligarchy. They come for the economy, which they instantly try to trash.

Z-man had a really good post today, which basically boils down to "Either you are voting for America, or you are voting for America to be another piece of the EU." Perfect. I know where my vote is going...

    5. The Great Republic is Texas. Or was, anyway.

  7. Great stuff. How are the residents of Coopville getting along these days?

    1. They seem to be getting along better for the most part - except the squawking on the roosting bar at night. Charlie is fussy with who can sleep next to him! Poor Wilma. She's the largest of them all, but gets pecked on the most.

  8. What great photos of your neck of the woods.
We have had beautiful weather in Nor Cal. Rain, sun, with much needed rain again today, Yay. The hills have green grass again, which is a blessing for the cattle to come home to from the mountains.

    1. So glad you are finally getting rain! So much drought all over the US lately! Nothing nicer than to see cows munching contently on new green grass! :o)
