Really enjoyed my mini vacation!
Had cataracts removed in both eyes recently and I am just in awe of all the color I can finally see!
I can even see birds and stars in the sky without glasses! (but I need them to see the computer and to read).
The details in a feather are amazing - this hawk's feather was found by the coop. :o(

I had the same surgery done a while back. The ability to see colors again is the very best part.

DeleteMy wife has cataracts, and they're slowly becoming a problem. Unfortunately, we have no money, so I don't know what we're going to do. Nothing for the moment, I guess, but something will have to give eventually.
ReplyDeleteI had put if off Gorges because it's so darn expensive. But it got to the point where I couldn't see. Eye surgeon told me Medicare pays for it, plus for 1 pair of corrective glasses. The eye drops are horrifically expensive, though. I had no prescription insurance for them. I was on 3 different eye drops for two months. (Ouch!) If you wife is on disability, she may be able to get them done. Let's hope so!!
