Another dose for Laverne

Old Laverne seems to be a bit better, but I gave her another squirt of the olive oil and water yesterday morning. She didn't vomit this time, but stayed calmly in my lap while I massaged her crop. It did go down a lot.

I kept her in the pen all day - didn't want to take a chance of her eating grass and bugs.

When I let Charlie and Maude out in the yard, they headed for the deck until Charlie realized he was missing one of his girls:

He ran back to the pen to get Laverne, but she was not getting out!

Charlie hung around the outside of the pen all day.

He's a good little rooster and very protective.
