The lights flickered on and off over night, but we did not have a power outage!
Lost some tree limbs, though:
These were standing upright! They were driven pretty far into the ground, too!
Hubby will chop these up and use them for firewood:
It was a great day to hang the laundry out - just listen to that wind!
:o)
We get big winds here too at 2812 feet on the Plateau...great for line drying sheets n' towels, if you can secure them to the line.
ReplyDeleteHold onto your chicken feathers!
Sophia is molting - the wind scatters her little feathers all over! LOL
DeleteWe don't notice the wind so much here in the city unless it is howling down the streets or around the corners of buildings. I have always loved the sound of the wind in the tree tops. Takes me back to a time when I had the good sense to live in the country.
ReplyDeleteIt is a lovely sound, Vickie! I just don't like it when you can hear that "crack-thump' sound!
DeleteGlad the power survived. Being without is such an inconvenience.
ReplyDeleteLucky this time, but we have a whole house generator in case of an emergency!
DeleteGood thing no big branches hit the house. Love clothes dried on the line, especially sheets and blankets. So fresh and clean smelling Renee
ReplyDeleteWe WERE lucky none landed on the house! I like hanging the clothes outside - they always smell so good! Thanks for stopping by Renee! :o)
