Hard working Hubby

Hubby is cleaning up our land behind the stone wall

The previous owner had dumped tons of branches, brush and garbage back there.

 There were even telephone poles!

How or why they got back there we can't figure out:

 Looking towards the swamp:

This will be burned in our little fire pit.

Our manure pile is getting BIG!

Charlie and the girls waiting to be let out:

The forsythia is just starting to bloom and we're supposed to get a snowstorm Sunday. :o(

I hope the snow melts fast and doesn't do any harm to all the budding plants!

  1. Well isn't that the coolest little tractor! A backhoe...??? Can he mow with it too, CM? I'm puzzled by the scenery...you guys don't have any underbrush?

    1. Yup - a backhoe! Hubby bought a John Deere tractor for mowing the grass two years ago. He had been using the old Wheel Horse but he got tired of taking the plow off and putting on the mower blades. Lots of critters live back there when the weather is warm, so he cleans before they wake up from their winter naps.

  2. I was trying to figure out how the bottom parts of trees ended up in the pile. But I was stumped.

  3. You need some clamp on forks:

You can do a LOT more with them on the front of your bucket. At least double the volume of sticks.

Plus other stuff. and not that expensive.
