Mostly about my backyard chickens. (Boring, I know), but there are a lot of us out here. Mine are only kept as pampered pets. I could eat a neighbor's chicken, but not MINE. There may be a comment on current events only if I get riled up enough. And there will always be a cartoon or a joke to cheer us. I promise to try my very best to respond to comments. Now I have to figure out how this blogger thingy works....
I actually experienced this in reverse. I crossed at the Carway border crossing from Montana to Alberta. On the American side I drove through rain/snow/sleet in May. This was a few years ago. I crossed over into Canada and it was clear skies and sunshine a few miles up the road.
I had flown down to Phoenix and spent a week there. The weather was fantastic and I only packed shorts and t-shirts. I drove back with someone rather than fly back. We went from Phoenix through Las Vegas, through Salt Lake City, through Idaho Falls, to Helena, then through Augusta, Montana to the border. As soon as we hit Utah and all the way to Canada it rained except for Idaho and Montana where it snowed. Keep in mind I was not dressed for this. When we stopped for gas in Helena, Montana I filled the truck while it was snowing and I was in shorts and a t-shirt (the only type of clothes I packed). I went in to pay and the lady at the till said "Y'all ain't got no pants on". Which was true, I was dressed for a beach. I politely told her it was fine, I am Canadian.
giggle.....snort. :)
