This 'N That

This past Christmas was the last one for this tree. A lot of the lights just didn't work and it kept shedding like a real one! We picked up a new one during the after Christmas sales. It's not as big, so it will be easier for us to set up.

  1. We got a plastic tree a few years back, of course with our usual perfect timing we bought it just before LED lights became the norm. We have put the tree up without problems for a number of years. Well, except for learning to spray a little silicone lube on the slip joints.

You know how when you say, "we're not stupid but," and the next part of the sentence shows that in this case we were really stupid. This year we got most of the tree assembled, bent and twisted the branches so they looked good, and then noticed we had put the tiers on in the wrong order, no of course we got the first and last correct. It was swapping the middle sections that gave the tree that really weird terracing look. Deep sighs, and some extra work and betting marking for next year.

    1. LOL! Our new one is in three pieces also, but it's not as tall as the old one, so maybe we won't have too much trouble putting it together. If this one doesn't last, I'll just hang a picture of a beautifully decorated tree on the wall! :o)

  2. Yeah, I suppose they WOULD go crazy over cheerios wouldn't they? Do you only have the three birds CM? Are you going to pick up a few more from the hatchery this year...?

    1. Only five, Glen - Charlie the rooster, Maude, Sophia, Laverne and Shirley. I don't know if I will get anymore when they get to greet Colonel Sanders. Might get a cat then and start a blog called "Cat Tales"....
