The day that the rains came down..

It started out to be a partly cloudy day, but very warm and humid. We lost power for a while in the morning...

... so the gang got to go out and play in the yard a bit earlier than usual. Couldn't run the vacuum cleaner anyway. :o)

And then out of nowhere, it started to rain! I scooted them all back in the pen 

when the skies just opened up!

It just poured!

I tried to get all the hay in the center of the pen to keep it dry:

The puddles were everywhere!

Laverne stayed away from any spot that would get her wet:

 Shirley just started to lay down for a nap:

Might have to put drainage ditches along the edges of the pen:

When the rain finally stopped, it became windy and the temperature dropped down into the sixties.

What a difference in weather a few hours make!
