Cannot believe how brutal it is here in the northwest corner of Joisey. The mountains are
supposed to be nice and cool!
This is how hot it got yesterday, The thermometer was in the sun.
I took it down and put it under the umbrella on the patio table - it went down to this
after a few minutes
The gang really was uncomfortable and very irritable. The pecking was non-stop. Even Charlie was joining Laverne and Shirley pecking and biting Maude and Sophia. I must have dumped ten gallons of cold water in the run and in the pen during the day. Their waterers were filled with ice, too. All of them were walking with their wings outstretched trying to catch any breeze.
It's 7:45 Sunday night as I write and this is the temp now:
Today we may get some rain to cool everything down a bit.
Wow you seem to be about one day behind us in weather...we had those temps until the storms yesterday.....

Oh, that would be heavenly!!!! And I wouldn't care if I looked liked a shriveled old prune at the end of the day! LOL :o)
