Mostly about my backyard chickens. (Boring, I know), but there are a lot of us out here. Mine are only kept as pampered pets. I could eat a neighbor's chicken, but not MINE. There may be a comment on current events only if I get riled up enough. And there will always be a cartoon or a joke to cheer us. I promise to try my very best to respond to comments. Now I have to figure out how this blogger thingy works....
Ding! Ding! Ding! We have a winner! You're right, Cap'n Jan! The well was filled with water and It would 'lick' envelopes and stamps when they passed over the roller. And even when self-seal envelopes and stamps came along, it still stayed on my desk.
I had one of those here someplace - now where was that box of old office stuff??? ;-> I used it for 'licking' envelopes when we had a large number to do - tongue gets tired!

Yep. Stamp/envelope licker. At least I think it is. Some sort of licker.
