Checked on the gang twice today - they stayed mostly in the coop. Their water kept freezing, so that had to be changed each time I went out. With plastic sheeting around the pen, most of the blowing snow didn't get in.
This morning, when I opened the coop. |
Still snowing this afternoon. |
The usual suspects. |
None of the little ones romped around - they were all hungry. |
It was after 5 o'clock when I went out again to lock Charlie and the girls in for the night.
They were already in the coop and up on the roosting bar and didn't want to come out. They got their treats inside.
Spoiled, spoiled chickens......
Stay warm n safe!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mamahen! We had more now the other day! Oh, well - Winter isn't over yet!
DeleteHopefully it won't turn out as bad as predicted.
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't here, JMD. I guess we are too far inland. We are only about 15 miles from the PA border.
DeleteTuesday morning now, wondering how you fared.
ReplyDelete- BarbaCat
It just turned out to be a regular snow event here where we live, BarbaCat. Too much hype, as usual! We had more snow Friday night!! :o) I think Boston and up the coast to New England will probably get a lot more than we did.
DeleteWell, you answered my question. :)
DeleteJust a typical January snowfall here in Joisey, Mr. Townsend! :o)
