It was - 5 degrees yesterday morning. Just too darn cold for me to go out. So I waited until the temp went up to a whopping:



The gang burst outof the coop. First Shirley, then Laverne and Charlie followed.
Along with their chickenfeed, I gave them some warm, plain oatmeal.The girls dove right into it, but Lord Charlie has to have his from a spoon. I kid you not!


A few hours later I went to change their frozen water.  They wanted out!

Yup! Where there is no snow!

That's the generator you hear in the background - It's been so cold Hubby wanted to make sure it starts without any problems. More cold and white stuff is on the way....
