Thoughts

Thirteen years ago the unthinkable happened. Thirteen years ago our youngest son watched the second plane crash into the World Trade Center. The same buildings Hubby and I took our then young boys to visit when the buildings were completed. There was a small marker where Philippe Petit crossed between the two towers. It's gone now and so are those magnificent towers. Thousands of people are dead and still missing. Innocence was lost on that September morning. Some will never recover from that horrible day. Our country never did.

I blame the politicians who knew what was going to happen and did nothing stop it. Cowards and traitors - all of them. And the American people rewarded them by keeping them in office. We were just as bad - we demanded absolutely nothing of them. Shame on us.

I am bitter and sad today. My great country is no more. My grandson will not learn of her greatness in school. Nor will your children and grandchildren. Our history is being rewritten. It is up to each and every one of us to make sure they know the truth. Maybe, just maybe, they will be the ones that can bring her back.

Don't ever, ever forget.......

  1. Amen! I said to my hubby just last night, that i've heard less about 911 this year than years past it seems, and I worry that the people are starting to forget. Forget what our country was before this monster changed her seemingly forever....It's a very sad day!

    1. Yes, it is a very sad day Mamahen and it's a day to reflect on what we should do so that it never happens again.
