A lily

The first lily bloomed!



 When we first moved here, they were growing wild all over the place.......

 So we dug a lot up them up and planted them on the banks of the driveway.

 There are hundreds of then planted now

 The chickens just love to scratch for bugs in here!

 There was a rusty basketball hoop and pole here. Hubby got rid of it.


In a few days they should all start blooming - mostly orange in color. It's going to look so pretty!

    3. There are just so many of the flowers here Jon, I haven't noticed if the critters ate some. Will have to be more vigilant!

  3. down here in the smokies we call them outhouse lilies.we use to plant them around the outhouse im not sure why but you can walk up some hollers and the old cabin and outhouse are long gone but theres them lilies your friend truckwilkins

    1. Maybe used as a sign directing you to where the 'restroom' was? :0) My Grandmother had an out house on her farm in N.H. - So glad we never went there in the Winter!
