Dad's Suitcase

Just thought you might like to see a favorite picture of my Dad, since I write about the many things he taught me to love - mechanical things, steam trains, clocks, anything with gears, fishing, woodworking and just too many others to list! He loved being on the water, especially to be at sea.

1917-1997

With my brother back in 1943

I still miss him so...

  1. I miss my dad, too, Cm. He's been gone for 30 years now.

    1. That ache is always there, isn't it? I miss sharing my life with him. I miss his laughter and the sound of him whistling...and his wonderful tales.

    1. My Mom only lasted for three more years. She was a wonderful, kind, loving woman. I wish I could be more like her. I miss them both.

    1. Mine was in the CG and he taught me how to fish. He loved going for the blues. Used to bring them home all gutted and wrapped in newspapers. I got to poke the eyes out......
