Spring thoughts

Yesterday started out sunny and cold and ended cloudy and cold. Hubby cleared a lot of the snow out of the run so they could walk around a bit more. They seemed to enjoy the extra space.

When the wind wasn't blowing, they ran out to scratch around. When I get more hens in the Spring, I think the run is going to be made bigger. Those piles of blocks are going to be used to make a 'patio' around the coop. It will help keep the mud down a bit.

My favorite spot to sit and feed them treats through the fence. During the summer the trees shade that whole area.

We are going to paint the coop and put a new roof on the pen in the spring. Think I'll add a flower box too!
