Mostly about my backyard chickens. (Boring, I know), but there are a lot of us out here. Mine are only kept as pampered pets. I could eat a neighbor's chicken, but not MINE. There may be a comment on current events only if I get riled up enough. And there will always be a cartoon or a joke to cheer us. I promise to try my very best to respond to comments. Now I have to figure out how this blogger thingy works....

Breakfast treats..
We had scrambled eggs for breakfast yesterday and had a little bit left over. We try never to waste anything, so Charlie and the girls got a treat, too!
Scrambled eggs in a half shell! Are they spoiled or what? :0)
My girls will have scrambled eggs this morning also. Once a week I give them a bit drizzled with a touch of olive oil..According to the experts, it's good for them :))
The shells are only good for chickens to eat. It gives them extra calcium and they love them. Even Charlie likes 'em! Save those shells for your garden or add to your ground coffee - takes any bitter taste out it.

ReplyDeleteI will forego the shells though :))

DeleteI knew they were good for chickens and about the garden, but never had heard that about the coffee. :))
DeleteThe wonderful, incredible egg (shell)! LOL
DeleteI also grind the eggshells into powder and feed to my mealworms that then get fed to the chickens. But mine aren't spoiled - not at all.
ReplyDeleteMealwoms? My goodness, THAT'S an expensive treat! Yours are more spoiled than mine! :0)
