Mostly about my backyard chickens. (Boring, I know), but there are a lot of us out here. Mine are only kept as pampered pets. I could eat a neighbor's chicken, but not MINE. There may be a comment on current events only if I get riled up enough. And there will always be a cartoon or a joke to cheer us. I promise to try my very best to respond to comments. Now I have to figure out how this blogger thingy works....

A quiet country morning.....
Nothing interesting today - just early morning sounds........ (but it sure beats living in the city)!
The trees are finally losing their harsh Winter look.
I know my crocus flowers are somewhere under all that snow just waiting to bloom......
You can say that again. I moved to a rural area in 91, and even though I've burned an ocean of fossil fuels commuting since then, the life style is well worth it.
Know what you mean, cw. I couldn't even live in a town anymore - It's a 10 mile round trip just to go to the good deli, but I wouldn't change it for anything..
We are 4 miles from a one stop light village and about 20 miles one way from a lager town but not a city by any means. Lord willing I be here till I die :))
Just like here - most of the houses were built in the late 70's and 80's on farm land. Hubby and I are lucky - we have almost 4 acres and it's mostly old woods. Almost everyone around here has huge lawns. We would rather have the trees - they keep us warm!
