Light

Hubby drilling a hole for the cable cord to go through. It was so cold the battery pack on the drill stopped a few times:

The light inside. Four brackets are holding it to the ceiling. Lucy and Ethel cannot fly that high, but Charlie, Lavern and Shirley can:

So very, very cold out. The snow and the coating of ice made for difficult walking:

At least it stayed a lot warmer in there. Charlie still slept on the roosting bar facing the back wall.
Laverne and Shirley nestled in the nesting boxes. Ethel made a nest in the hay under the light and hogged all the warmth. Lucy slept next to her.

Thank heavens we stocked up on regular light bulbs last summer!!!!

  1. I wonder what folks will do in situations like this without these bulbs?
    Hope Charlie will be ok!

    1. I hope people stocked up - I think the 'dollar' stores might sell them, but theyare not made in the USA. The swelling on his wattles seems to have gone done a little bit..
