The leaves are changing in the Blue Ridge Mountains of western North Carolina and that means its time for the GHOST TRAIN to once again haunt the tracks of the Tweetsie Railroad. By day, the park operates as its usual family-friendly self, with engine 12 taking guests on a fun train ride through the Wild West. But as the sun falls the park undergoes a startling metamorphosis into a home for many harrowing haunts. Those brave enough to enter this terrible realm may find themselves being whisked away into the unknown behind engine 13, its two terrible eyes lighting the way into the dark forest. Some of those passengers might just live to tell the tale...

 We'll keep it downstairs in the workshop for another week or so and then it can come upstairs!

Good Morning!

Say "Hello!" to the newest critter in Coopville:

Our son gave us a feral kitten that had been born under his neighbor's shed. He was afraid the coyotes would get it. No one wanted it because it was so small.

We have NEVER had a cat before - so it's going to be a learning curve for us and this little fella/gal.

It's a feisty little thing and escaped the mesh chicken pen I had it in. Had to get a cage for it to stay in while we tame it!

Will be back on Friday with an update.

 (Oh, what did we get ourselves into)??????

Here we capture the process of firing up the largest steam traction engine in the world. The 150 CASE Road Locomotive was originally built in 1905 by the JI CASE Co. None of the 9 engines survived until we brought one back to life building it from scratch to the original prints. In this video we set a plowing record for the 150 Case pulling 36 John Deere Bottom plow. The plow is constructed of 3 John Deere plows mounted together as they never produced such a plow before. Kory Anderson's re-creation of the legendary Case 150 engine pulls four steamers uphill to recreate the event photographed at the Case factory in Racine, Wisconsin in 1907. Kory unveiled his unique engine in 2018 at Andover, South Dakota. Here you see the big 150 in action at the Western Minnesota Steam Threshers Reunion at Rollag, Minnesota, during the 2019 Labor Day weekend show.
